Sergey Mavrodi, the founder of Mavrodi Mundial Movement (MMM) has written an open letter to Nigerian journalists whom he claimed are causing unnecessary tension in the country. According to him, MMM will be back by January as earlier stated, hence the rumour about the scheme collapse should stop.

 Reports have emerged on how Governor Udom Emmanuel escaped unhurt after witnessing the collapse of Reigners Bible Church International building in Uyo on Friday, December 9. According to an eyewitness, the building collapsed 30 minutes after Governor Udom arrived.

The witness told NAN: “When we were about taking offering, 30 minutes after the governor came in, the building caved in. Security operatives took him away.”

- The media office of Rotimi Amaechi says the minister could not vote in today's Rivers rerun election

 - His media team says the ex-governor could not vote due to the disappearance of result sheet from his unit 

 - The presiding officer in the minister’s unit, has been detained by security officers following the disappearance of the result sheet 

 Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of transportation, could not vote for his desired candidate in Saturday’s re-run election in Rivers state due to the disappearance of result sheet from his unit, according to his media office.

 In a message sent to Premium Times, Amaechi’s media office also revealed that the presiding officer in the minister’s unit, has been detained by security officers following the disappearance of the result sheet.

Rivers rerun: INEC conducts election in APC candidate’s compound

Voting took place inside the compound of Magnus Abe, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Rivers south-east senatorial district, in today’s rerun election, Premium Times reports. 

 According to the report, voting materials used in his compound were gotten from his unit 10, ward 16, Bera, Gokana local government area. Abe’s house is located at Bera, Gokana LGA. 

 

INEC conducts election in APC candidate Mangus Abe’s compound 

It was gathered that the voters, security operatives and INEC officials co-operated with the politician to conduct the election in his compound. The report added that people whose identity could not be identified conducted the voting exercise while a corps member and two others who wore INEC vests watched on, holding discussion with aides of Abe. 

 Scores of security operatives, including soldiers and police officers ensured the exercise went on smoothly in the politician’s compound. Shortly after the voting ended, heavily armed men led two buses and a pick-up truck to the compound.
