That was the opinion of a worker in Lagos who joined the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) strike which commenced yesterday across the country.
A faction of the NLC and the Trade Union Congress, however, did not join the strike.
The worker pictured by Vanguard in Lagos carried a placard with the inscription that changed the meaning of the ruling “All Progressives Congress (APC)” to “All Promises Cancelled”.
The Ayuba Wabba-led NLC had commenced strike on Monday in protest of the hike in the pump price of petrol from N86.50 to a band of N135 – N145 on May 18, 2016.
The other faction led by Joe Ajaero is negotiating with the government and did not join the strike.
The government had warned against “illegal strike action” after getting a court injuction against the NLC.
