Recalls happen almost all the time. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has made about 40 in August, recalling everything from fire alarms to garden tractors.
Samsung has been catching a lot of heat (no pun intended) lately, recalling about 1 million of their Galaxy Note 7 after 92 reports of the batteries overheating caused property damage including fires in cars and a garage.
The tech giant quickly stepped in and owned up to their mistakes, asking all customers to return the defective devices.
However, Samsung is not the first, or the last, to have electronics recalled. Here are a few of the biggest recalls in the consumer electronics industry.
