Football player shot dead in Argentina

– The football world has been thrown into mourning yet again 

– An Argentine player was shot dead in his home 

– The situation has been described as “sad”

 Tragedy struck in Argentina when a second-division soccer player was shot and killed for struggling with unknown assailants who apparently entered his home in a robbery attempt. His club Nueva Chicago on Friday May 13, named the victim as 26-year-old defender Rodrigo Espindola. 



Rodrigo Espíndola According to the local police, a security camera caught images of Espindola arriving his home on Thursday night May 12, with his family in a car on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. The vice president of the club Daniel Ferreiro referred to it as a“sad day,” and the Argentine Football Association expressed “its sadness” over the death.  A couple of days ago, Brazilian footballer Bernardo Ribeiro collapsed on the field after suffering a heart attack during a match in his native country for an amateur side. The Friburgense player was rushed o the hospital but could not be brought back to life by the medical staffs.
