Deputy governor robbed at gunpoint by bodyguard

A deputy governor was robbed at gunpoint by one of his bodyguards. 


The deputy governor of Tharaka Nithi county in Kenya, Eliud Muriithi, was reportedly ambushed by one of his personal bodyguards who went on to rob him. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter deputy governor robbed Eliud Muriithi was robbed by one of his bodyguards Confirming the incident, Muriithi said the bodyguard who is also an Administrative Police (AP), threatened him with a pistol in his house in Kinoru and took away the sum of Sh3.5 Million (about N10.8 million) from him. 

The bodyguard identified as Constable Josphat Kipyegon armed with the bag full of money, escaped from his house.
Muriithi said the money was gotten from a land sale deal he was involved in. Police are reportedly on Kipyrgon’s trail, in a bid to recover the money. Hmmm! Them fit try this one for naija
